The seventh hole is a straight downhill par 4. Straight holes are particularly rare on this course and this hole is made difficult by a pond each side of the scrape and two swails in front of the scrape. Good strategy has to be used off the tee to avoid both ponds and get into a good position to approach the scrape.

The approach shot as already mentioned is made difficult by numerous factors including the swails in front of the scrape, the spongy grass in front of the scrape and finally the size of the scrape which is one of the smallest on the course.

The scrape yields a lot of one putts due to its flatness and size.
