The fourteenth is a par 4 and the hardest hole for the women. For the men it’s the third hardest but many claim it to be a lot harder. There is a severe dog leg right and many thick trees on both sides of the fairway. Placing the tee shot on fairway is crucial as the second shot is a blind uphill shot that has to negotiate the corner if you are a shorter hitter.
The scrape is elevated severely at the back causing a severe slope from back to front. This should make the scrape easy to hit but the distance and blindness of the second shot make getting on the scrape in 2 very difficult.
Putting can be very difficult on this hole, especially if you are putting across the slope. However the slope is reasonably consistent and solid putts will normally fall in.
